This is a bench copy of a 1913 Giuseppe Fiorini violin. It was one of the instruments featured in the “Sounds of Bologna” exhibition and is featured in the exhibition catalogue. I have never made a bench copy before or since, so this was a first for me. It was completed in late December 2005. Although I don't claim it to be a perfect bench copy, overall I'm very pleased with the results. It has a rich and powerful organic sound, full of color and vibrancy. It is currently for sale at Mclaughlin Violins, Atlanta GA. Please contact Ryan for sale inquiries.
